Vitamin D deficiency in Indian women
The deficiency of Vitamin D is very common in the bodies of women in India.
As per data, 8 in 10 people may suffer from Vitamin D deficiency and this is a serious health concern in India.
Now a new study has indicated a link between low vitamin D levels and high-blood sugar levels in Indian women in the pre-diabetic stage.
The study was conducted by Fortis C-Doc in association with AIIMS, Diabetes Foundation of India and National Diabetes Obesity and Cholesterol Foundation.
The study also found that women who suffer from low calcium deposits and low vitamin D levels, are at a higher risk of bone damage than others.This is most commmon in women after they reach menopause.
Many studies have been done on the impact of low vitamin D on the health of people and it has been found that Vitamin D is vital for humans.
