Maharashtra government to give paid leave to employees to take care of their children
Some good news for working mothers employed in the Maharashtra government. They will now get 180 days of paid leave to take care of their children. This is valid until the child is 18 years of age!
Male employees, whose wives have passed away, will get the same benefit. Both men and women can apply for this leave three times in a year.
This will benefit many parents who struggle to spend time with their children, especially during their class 10 and 12 board exams. That is the time when a child expects their parents to be with them the most!
Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar announced this new policy at a cabinet meeting this week.
