Petrol and diesel prices sky rockets across India

Do you own a vehicle? Things are getting murkier after a drastic rise in prices of petrol and diesel across India. This is the fourth straight day of hikes for both petrol and diesel!

There has been 14-16 paise per litre hike in petrol at Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. Meanwhile, diesel prices have been raised by 10-11 paise per litre. The details were released by the Indian Oil Corporation.

On Sunday, petrol was sold at Rs 76.13 per litre in Delhi, Rs 78.8 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 83.52 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 79.01 per litre in Chennai. Diesel was sold at Rs 67.86 per litre in Delhi, Rs 70.41 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 72 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 71.63 per litre in Chennai.

Experts pointed out that the high rates of crude oil along with weakening of Indian rupee in the global market has led to the increase in rates of petrol and diesel.
