Jharkhand Chief Minister promises a handful to disabled people in the state
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das is geared up to lend a helping hand to elderly and disabled people in the state. The minister asserted that his government will ensure the welfare and development of people with disabilities in Jharkhand at any cost.
As a first step, model schools that cater to disabled students will come up in every district across Jharkhand. These schools will ensure that a disabled child gets the best education and an overall skill development without any hassles. Easy accessibility and inclusion comes along with all of this!
Das also looked into the working of the Jharkhand State Disability Commission. He ensured that the state will soon open a large centre in Ranchi to manufacture assistive devices for people with disabilities.
The government also aims to provide employment to disabled people after their education and skill development.
Need more? As a sign of love and care from the government, elderly and disabled people will be escorted to the secretariat in a wheelchair with a helper!
So if a senior citizen or disabled person has to go to the secretariat for some work, they will be taken inside on a wheelchair. After their work is completed, they will be escorted out in the same wheelchair till the main gate.
Das also said that disabled people will be granted loans for up to Rs 50,000 without having to submit any guarantee!
