Ekta Bhyan makes India proud at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix!

Nothing is impossible to wheelchair bound Ekta Bhyan, the Indian girl who has grabbed medals at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Tunisia. Bhyan has made the entire country proud with her exemplary achievements.

EKta has won a gold medal for the women's club throw F51. Need more? She won a bronze for the discus throw event as well.

This young girl from Haryana is the epitome of courage, determination and hard work. Ekta’s life changed in 2003 after she met with an accident, and her spinal cord got injured. Ekta's lower body was paralyzed and she has been on a wheelchair since then.

But the constant support and love from her parents changed things for the good for young Ekta. She was soon shifted to the Indian Spinal Injury Centre in Delhi from where it all took off! Her meeting with paralympian Amit Saroha, who is a club throw expert and Arjuna awardee inspired her.

EKta has already won many laurels at national and international level games. In spite of finishing many surgeries, Ekta is determined to chase her love for sports.

She says that spending nine months in the hospital changed her attitude towards being on a wheelchair. After seeing many people who did remarkable things after being on their wheelchairs, Ekta knew she can excel too.

Ekta has been the star in social media since the last two days. We just cannot wait for her to come down to India to get to know more about her!
