Elderly people in Rajasthan to get assistive devices under government scheme
The Rajasthan assembly elections are all set to begin on December. The government is not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that people in the state are satisfied with the current government under Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. The government is all set to ensure that elderly people in the state gets assistive devices in order to get a better quality of living.
District administrations will hold camps to identify beneficiaries who are eligible for physical aids and assistive devices under the Naveen Vayoshri Scheme by the central government. The camp has already begun in different parts of Jaipur from Monday, and will be held at centres across the district.
The government had already kick-started such camps at Jhalawar and Bikaner a few months back. It was a huge success as well! The Jaipur district administration will be implementing the camp in similar ways. Senior citizens who are 60 years and above can avail for these physical aids and assistive devices!
All that an elderly person has to do is, carry their identity cards, aadhar card and details of their age. Walking sticks, elbow crutches, walkers, tripods, hearing aids, artificial dentures, and spectacles will be provided under this scheme.
