Kerala University postponed all examinations due to heavy rains

Heavy rains have disrupted the day to day life in Kerala. The Kerala University has postponed all examinations that were scheduled for Monday. These exams will now be conducted on July 21.

Due to the non-stop heavy rains, schools in eight districts including Kollam, Kottayam, and Ernakulam were also closed. 10 people died last week in the state because of the rains.

Around 2000 families have been forced to leave their homes and are currently staying in 45 relief camps. Roads have been cut off in many low lying areas.

Several houses are reported to have been damaged and landslides occurred in the hilly Idukki district. In some areas bus and train services have also been affected due to the falling of trees and water clogging.
