Disability Pension Scheme – Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh in the north east frequently hits the headlines in the context of China claiming rights over a part of its territory. More recently, it has been in the news for welcome reasons, with Chief Minister Pema Khandu increasing the provisions for disability pension under the Chief Minister’s Disability Pension Scheme.
What is offered
The disability pension allowance is Rs 1,000 per month.
Who is eligible
- Should be a resident of the state
- Between 18 to 79 years
- Should have severe or multiple disabilities
- Should be from a BPL household
- 100% degree of disability in orthopedic, visual, multiple disabilities
Documents needed
- Disability certificate
- Income certificate
- Aadhaar
- 2 passport size photos
- Bank account number with IFSC code
- Mobile number
How to apply
Applicants have to submit the application with the documents to the nearest office of the District Nodal Officer, that’s Deputy Director (ICDS)/CDPO(ICDS) for verification. This will then be verified by the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs.
