‘Miracle on wheels’ gears up to train wheelchair bound dancers in Bengaluru!
Gone are days when wheelchair bound people had limitations and mobility issues. Modern technology and science has ensured that people on wheelchairs can move around and even dance without hassles. That is just what ‘Miracle on wheels’, an inclusive dance company is gearing up for!
This Bengaluru based dance company is all set to start a one year diploma course to train Bharatanatyam for wheelchair bound people! This dance company surely knows how to bring out the best talents. Thanks to founder Mahira Jaan and professional wheelchair Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher Ashiq who will train people!
Mahira says that she has come across many aspiring wheelchair bound dancers, and their passion towards the art is beautiful. That is what inspired her to kick start this session.
Ashiq, who was affected by polio, has been dancing for many years now. He has trained many people as well. Ashiq has even been appreciated by celebrities like Vijayanti Mala, Dr Maya Rao, Amir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Prabhu Deva and even M S Dhoni! He has performed in Malaysia, Italy, Muscat, Bahrain and across India for various television and stage shows.
Mahira believes that her dance company can create a great platform for wheelchair bound dancers.
