Jammu and Kashmir hosts an exclusive camp for disabled children
Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has often been in the spotlight for not fully implementing rights of disabled people. This valley state has always been amidst political chaos. But are social causes are also gone unnoticed here? Now, officials in the state are joining hands for the welfare of disabled children in J&K.
Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir is all set to hold an exclusive camp for disabled children. Both government and private institutions are partnering to ensure that disabled children from J&K come forward to become change makers in the society! The 2 day camp has already kick started in the city.
Officials also distributed 161 assistive aids for disabled children including wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, prosthesis and tricycles.
Children with disabilities, parents, teachers and NGO representatives are part in the camp.
Officials discussed about how disabled children must be educated in order to empower them and also make them independent.
