Heavy rains expected to hit Mumbai in the next two days

Looks like, monsoon is not receding anytime soon in Mumbai. According to latest reports, the city can expect heavy showers for another two days!

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) confirmed that parts of Mumbai and Vidharbha will receive rainfall at least till Tuesday.

Mumbai received a good amount of rainfall during the weekend. Colaba recorded 6.2 mm of rainfall while Sanatcruz recorded 18.1 mm of rains.

These heavy rains are due to the extension of off-shore trough from South Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast. Due to this, Madhya Maharashtra can expect heavy rainfall as well.

Places like Gondia, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadhchiroli, Wardha, Parbhani, Amravati and Akola are expected to get heavy rainfall, especially on July 22 and 23.

Along with Maharashtra, Kerala has also been receiving heavy rainfall since the past two weeks.

So if you are in Mumbai and travelling around the city, brace yourselves for some heavy showers!
