India’s third smallest state, bordering Bangladesh, is an interesting mix of diverse cultures and tribes. The state government’s disability pension scheme comes under the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education.

What is given

Two categories of pension are given. For people above 60% disability, the amount is Rs 500 a month. People with disabilities above 80% are given Rs 700 per month. This is a combination of the state and Centre’s Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension

  • People Above Poverty Line (APL card)
  • Resident of Tripura for 3 years at least
  • Above 10 years old

Documents required

  • Disability Certificate
  • Age proof
  • Passport size photo
  • APL card number
  • Proof of residence
  • Bank account details

How to apply

Application form available with Child Development Project Office or Nagar Panchayat at block level. At the urban level, it is available with the District Social Welfare Officer.
