Kerala government starts Kerala Rescue initiative to coordinate relief for flood-affected residents
To effectively coordinate and communicate between the authorities, volunteers and public relief activities and rescue missions, the Kerala government has announced the launch of the initiative, Kerala Rescue.
Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and many lives affected in one of the biggest natural calamities to hit the state. The Army and the Navy have been called in to help with the rescue efforts.
