Another medal winning day for India at 2018 Asian games

Saurabh Chaudhary a 16 year shooter has won the first gold medal for India in the shooting events at the ongoing 2018 Asian games.

Saurabh won the gold in the 10m Air Pistol event and shot a total score of 240.7 to set Games record. Another shooter from India Abhishek Verma won bronze in the same event.

This takes the tally of medals won by the Indian players in shooting to five medals and the total medals to 9.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a cash reward of ₹50 lakh for Saurabh Chaudhary.

Sajan Prakash a swimmer from Kerala who is represented India in the butterfly event on Sunday, was informed later that some of his family members were missing in Kerala floods. Prakash came fifth in the event.

India also won its first ever medal in the Sepaktakraw or kick volleyball in the Men's Team Regu category. Indian team lost to Thailand in the semi-final by 0-2 and scored a bronze model.

in Sepaktakraw players are allowed to use their feet, knees, head, and chest to hit the synthetic rubber ball across the net.
