Disney classic The Jungle Book to release in India first
The Jungle book has been a favourite of children down the decades. A new production with Indian child actor Neel Sethi playing the lead Mowgli is set to release soon. The good news is that Walt Disney Films has decided to release it in India one week before it releases in the US and the UK.
The story is about Mowgli, a boy from a village who gets lost in a jungle and is looked after by the animals there. They later protect him from Sher Khan, the tiger, who wants to kill him.
The latest version directed by Jon Favreau will release across theatres in India on April 8. Well-known actors Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray and Idris Alba have done the voiceovers.
