Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy caught on tape asking to kill mercilessly


Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has ended up in a controversy. In a new tape that was released, Kumaraswamy is heard saying to kill someone mercilessly. Reportedly, Kumaraswamy was asking a senior police official to avenge the killing of a local leader of his party which is the Janata Dal Secular (JDS).

Prakash, a local leader of JDS was killed at Mandya in the state on Monday evening by masked men who followed his car, dragged him out and hacked him to death. In the video Kumaraswamy is heard saying that he was a good man and whoever killed him must be shot to death. The minister also assured that there will be no problem even if this is done.

Later on, Kumaraswamy admitted that he spoke out of an emotional reaction. The minister was clearly disturbed by the killing of his party worker.

“Emotional Outburst doesn't cut it as an excuse when someone is in position of power. A CM giving orders to police to kill someone extra-judiciously is "Breakdown of law & Order". Good cause for dismissing state govt”, tweeted Harsha Kollamarajalu
