Shreyas Iyer is highest scorer in Indian T20 history

Shreyas Iyer smashed the highest T20 score by an Indian batsman for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy which is a domestic T20 tournament. Iyer was playing for Mumbai to beat Sikkim by scoring a whopping 147 runs in 55 balls for the match. Iyer also becomes the 12th highest scoring batsman in the history of T20 cricket. The match was held at Indore on Thursday.

Social media was flooded with congratulatory messages for Shreyas Iyer.

Iyer's performance ensured that the Sikkim team is not spared. With his new score, Iyer has surpassed Rishabh Pant's 128 not out in T20 cricket. He hit a record of 15 sixes and seven fours.

24 year old Shreyas Iyer, who is a right-handed batsman and right arm-leg breakbowler, plays for the Mumbai Cricket Team. He is also the Captain of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier Leagues. Iyer's latest achievement was cheered by his fans from across India.
