A minister in Pakistan has been removed from his post for making insulting comments about Hindus.
As per reports, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan, who was the Information and Culture Ministerof Punjab in Pakistan, has been forced to resign.
Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan is a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf - PTI party that is led by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
A tweet issued by the PTI party read
Bashing someone's faith should not be part of any narrative. Tolerance is the first & foremost pillar on which Pakistan was built.
Chohan had made anti Hindu comments last month in Lahore and said that Hindus are "cow urine-drinking people".The comments were widely criticised as Hindus are a minority community in Pakistan.
At the time he was responding to some statements made by the Indian government regarding the suicide terror attack in Pulwama that killed 40 CRPF soldiers.
The sacking of the minister has been hailed by the social media.
