Deepika apologises to fans, promises to perform better

Deepika Padukone is one of the worlds most sought after actresses. Her charisma, beauty and style can turn heads. She put up a splendid performance as Rani Padmavati in 'the movie Padmaavat, that was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her performance was given thumbs up by critics and her fans worldwide. But Padukone missed the Best Actress Award for the recent Filmfare Awards 2019. Even though everyone expected Padukone to take home the award, Alia Bhatt won the award for her performance in Raazi. Padukone took to social media to apologize to her fans for letting them down.

Deepika Padukone and her husband Ranveer Singh attended the Filmfare Awards together. Singh won the Critics Best Actor Award.
Padukone might not have won the award, but her fans took to social media to support her.

Padukone is gearing up for her upcoming movie Chhapaak in which she will don the role of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor. First look of the poster was released on social media last Monday. Padukone received a lot of praise for the new look in the movie.
