Indian skipper Virat Kohli has yet again proved that he is unstoppable. Playing the match against Mumbai Indians for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019, Kohli became the second batsman to achieve 5000 runs in IPL. Kohli is the captain for Royal Challenger's Bangalore (RCB). The first batsman to achieve this landmark was Chennai Super Kings' Suresh Raina. Kohli took 46 runs off 31 balls, but his team RCB lost the match. Kohli's fans at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru cheered for the batsman as he reached the legendary milestone.

Kohli was playing the seventh match of IPL 2019 on Thursday. Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma is next in the list with 4555 runs in 175 matches. Fans are expecting both Raina and Kohli to break more records as both batsmen are in full form for the IPL 2019.
"Congratulations to #KingKohli. One of the finest batsman in #VivoIPL2019. Second player in ipl to cross the 5000 runs, tweeted Ksheera Sagar.
Meanwhile the match on Thursday was gripped by controversy due to umpire S Ravi. Reportedly, he failed to notice Mumbai Indians pacer Lasith Malinga's no-ball on the last delivery. Kohli criticised Ravi saying that umpires must have their eyes open since the players are playing IPL and not club cricket.
