Delhi airport immigration server comes down, flights get delayed

On Saturday, Air India faced a major technical glitch due to which their flights across the globe were delayed. On early hours of Monday, Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi faced a similar problem after their server at the immigration faced technical problems. Hundreds of passengers were stuck at the airport and almost eight flights got delayed due to this.
According to reports, the server went down by around 12.20 am and was restored by 2 am. Even though a public announcement was made that the servers would function back soon, passengers had to wait for many hours inside the airport.
Many passengers took to social media to express their anxiety and anger over the technical problem that could have been avoided by airport authorities.

The technical snag affected thousands of passengers who were travelling to various parts of the world from Delhi airport. Amongst them were both Indian and foreign nationals.
