Sadhvi Pragya apologizes for Godse comments

A few hours after she called Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse a "patriot", Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, apologized for her remarks.

BJP star campaigner and Malegaon blast case accused Sadhvi Pragya kicked up a storm yesterday with her comment saying, "Godse was a patriot, is a patriot, and will always remain one".

She had to apologies later as the opposition party leaders criticized her heavily for the remark and her own party also condemned it.

BJP senior leader from Madhya Pradesh Vinay Sahasrabuddhe later clarified that Sadhvi Pragya had made the remark in "personal capacity".

Earlier an FIR was filed against actor turned politician Kamal Haasan, for his remarks on Nathuram Godse.

Sadhvi Pragya’s remarks became the hot topic on social media.
