Mamata Banerjee to attend Modi’s oath taking ceremony
May 29, 2019
Narendra Modi's BJP has already established their power across India after the Lok Sabha elections. Modi is all set to enter second term as Prime Minister of India. His oath taking ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow. In spite of political indifferences, many prominent leaders are expected to attend the ceremony in Rashtrapathi Bhavan at New Delhi. This includes West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Banerjee told media that she will be attending the event because it is a ceremonial program.
Welcome @MamataOfficial didi to attend #NewIndia formation oath ceremony of Hon PM Shri. @narendramodi ji Cabinet-Ashish Merkhed, Founder Secretary, SBS NGO, Nagpur
Banerjee had openly come out against Modi many times, and there was a war of words between both the leaders during election campaigns. Trinamool Congress and BJP workers had engaged in fights as well. This paved way to making things worse between both the parties. The BJP established their power in West Bengal by winning 18 Lok Sabha seats out of 42. A few Trinamool Congress leaders had switched over to BJP after the election results came out.
"WB CM @MamataOfficial will participate in @narendramodi swearing in ceremony in Delhi on 30th May. The chief of @AITCofficial will arrive in Delhi tomorrow evening, tweeted Payal Mehta.
