2019 World Cup-West Indies beat Pakistan

The 2019 World Cup tournament has started and fans are running high with cricket fever.

England defeated South Africa by a massive margin of 104 runs in the opening match of 2019 World Cup at the Kennington Oval ground in London on Thursday.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar made his debut at commentary in the opening match of the World Cup and tweeted about it. "My first experience of commentary", Sachin wrote.

The second of 48 matches was played between West Indies and Pakistan yesterday at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The match went in favour of West Indies as it defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets and with 218 balls to spare.

Chris Gayle hit 3 sixes in the match and set the individual record for hitting most number of sixes-40 in World Cup history.

Brian Lara‏ tweeted,Great bowling against the Pakistani batsmen. This sort of planning is needed every game. Well done!"

There were lot of expectations riding on the team from West Indies with Chris Gayle as the vice-captain and the recent performance against England in the Caribbean.

New Zealand will face off against Sri Lankans tomorrow.

South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand and England are the ten teams fighting for the title in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup that is to end on 14 July.

Vijay Joshi‏ tweeted,The signs are ominous. 1. Last time Pakistan won a World Cup, it was 8 years after India won it 2. They lost their first match to West Indies. It happened this time too. 3. They posted their lowest ODI score of 74. Today they scored their 2nd lowest ODI score. #ICCWorldCup2019
