Cricket World Cup – India wins 1st match

India played and won its first match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 against South Africa yesterday.
South Africa batted first after winning the toss and made 227 runs with a loss of 9 wickets. Rohit Sharma smashed 122 runs off 144 balls, making him the seventh Indian batsman to score multiple hundreds in World Cup history. Rohit has made 23 hundreds in One Day International cricket matches.
Player of the Match title went to Rohit Sharma.
Yuzvendra Chahal become the second Indian leg-spinner to take four-wickets in World Cup contributing to India's win.
