India qualifies for World Cup semi final

Team India has qualified for the 2019 World Cup semi-finals after beating Bangladesh by 28 runs yesterday.

After Australia, India has become the second team to make it to the semis.

This is the third straight time for India to make it to the World Cup semi-finals while Bangladesh is now out of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul scored 180 runs registering the highest ever opening partnership for India in a World Cup match.

India batted first and set a target of 315 for the Bangladesh team. Rohit was named man-of-the-match as he hit 104 in the match yesterday.

There are two positions left in the semifinals for which three teams England, New Zealand and Pakistan are the contenders.

Virat Kohli spoke praises for Rohit Sharma after the win and said,I have been watching it for years now, I have been saying it publicly, in my opinion Rohit is the best one-day player."

"When he plays, we are heading towards a big score and it really helps with the way he's playing, added Kohli. With 544 runs, Rohit Sharma is now the leading run-scorer in the 2019 World Cup.

Kohli spoke about team win and said, We had to work hard for the win but very happy that we saw 'Q' in front of the team in the table now.
