Dubai releases law books in Braille

The Dubai Police Academy has released seven law books in Braille. This is to encourage those who are blind to read them and empower themselves.

Over the rest of the year, they plan to translate 20 law books in all. This will enable the blind to be aware of and and well-informed regarding the laws.

These measures are part of Dubai's initiative to become a disability-friendly city by 2020. The books are also available in USB and can be used on Braille display machines. CDs of lectures with sign language have also been provided for people with hearing disabilities.
