Terrorist behind Pakistan school attack killed in US drone strike

Umar Mansour, the terrorist who carried out the deadly 2014 attack on an army school in Peshawar, Pakistan, has been killed in US-supported drone strike, according to senior Pakistani officials.

Mansour and another terrorist Qari Saifullah were killed in an air strike in an Afghanistan province. Mansour had been declared a global terrorist by the US government.

Both he and Saifullah were part of the Tehreek-i-Taliban in Pakistan.

On December 2014, the group killed 132 children and 9 teachers and staff members, after forcing their way into the school in Peshawar. They went from classroom to classroom, shooting children.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan said they carried out the attack to avenge a major operation against them by the Pakistani army.
