New guidance system for the blind that uses 3-D sounds
July 21, 2016
The visually impaired can now use a new system that guides them using 3-D sounds. The application can be installed in a mobile phone and uses satellite navigation to indicate to the user a path that is free of obstacles.
The system guides the user along unknown routes without the need to carry a mobile and look at it. The user can hear a cracking sound through any stereo earphone and identifies where it is coming from.
