Doctors worry over technology addiction among children
A teacher at a Noida school said that her six-year old son was addicted to mobile tablet and smartphones since he was three years old.
To stop her son’s habit, she stopped charging the mobile tablet and didn’t use phones in front of him for few months which gradually reduced his dependence on technology.
This case is an example of many children who are addicted and over dependent on technology since their childhood and often interact less with their parents or avoid participating in real life activities.
Thus, scientists are planning to take up the project to understand the impact of technology on the brain activity of children.
Doctors advise that children less than two years should be exposed to technology at a minimum level so that they spend their maximum time participating in physical activities.
