Eating oily fish may reduce risk of vision loss due to diabetes


Eating oily fish twice a week may reduce the risk of sight-threatening diabetic retinopathy in middle-aged and older people with type 2 diabetes, says a new study.

The number of people with type 2 diabetes is rising and a major concern is diabetic retinopathy, which is a leading global cause of vision loss.

People who eat oily fish twice a week show relatively reduced risk of sight-threatening DR.
