Army launches back to school campaign in Kashmir

The Indian Army has launched an operation to encourage the children of Kashmir to join school and complete their studies.

The campaign is called ‘School Chalo’.

Children will be given free education and are taught extra-curricular activities under the campaign.

The campaign has been created by Major General Ashok Narula. He realized that parents in Jammu and Kashmir are worried about the education and future of their children.

Due to the tense state of affairs in the valley, parents don’t feel safe about sending children out to schools.

Under the project, army men will find teachers and connect them to the local communities for teaching children. They will also protect the students and teachers by guarding the area when required.
