iPad game that helps identify lazy eye in kids
A new study says that a special iPad game can help treating kids who have a lazy eye.
Lazy eye or amblyopia is a condition where one eye is weaker than the other. The condition is due to muscle or other visual problems.
The lazy eye occurs in nearly three out of 100 children.
The researchers asked kids to wear special glasses with red and green lenses to see separate game elements by each eye.
The game helped identify the difference between the healthy eye and amblyopic eye.
For example, the stronger eye could see reduced-contrast elements in the game while, the amblyopic eye could see high-contrast elements.
