Singapore gives kits to elderly to test for road sense
Singapore's traffic police are trying to cut the number of accidents involving elderly people by handing out kits to measure their road sense.
The kit includes self-checks for eyesight and reaction times, and a questionnaire about hearing.
More than 5,000 of them will be given to people at accident spots and community events. The kit was developed with the help of medical professionals after a rise in the number of older people being injured on the roads.
The kit also tests their reflexes when catching a falling object.
