Study links more usage of social media with depression
A study says that comparing yourself with others on Facebook may develop feelings of depression.
The research included 35,000 participants from 14 countries aged between 15 and 88.
The study found the relationship between online social networking and depression which may be very complex. It depends on factors like age and gender.
Using Facebook a lot makes a person think more. It makes them compare and feel jealous observing the updates of other people’s lives.
Women and people with negative emotions were at more risk to become depressed.
