Yoga helps fight depression in elderly, says study
Yoga can play a major role in treating depression.
The Bengaluru-based National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences has found that elderly people suffering from conditions like dementia and Alzheimer's show improvement if they do yoga and took medication as well.
The elderly are more likely to feel depressed due to loneliness and physical illnesses.
Yoga and regular physical activities help them to stay calm and feel better.
