Para archer who beat disability & discrimination
Pooja Khanna is a para archer from Rohtak in Haryana who has beaten both disability and discrimination to represent India at international events.
Archery is one of the most expensive Olympic sports and Pooja had to find a way to pay for equipment costs as well as a good coach.
With the support of GoSports Foundation and her coach, she has been able to pursue the game.
Pooja, who was diagnosed with polio as a child, has never let her circumstances come in the way.
Coming from a Dalit community, she also had to bear a lot of discrimination. But now her village has recognised her talent.
