Plea to let students with learning disabilities drop math & science

A famous mental health expert has written a letter to the CISCE board to allow students with learning disabilities to drop science and math for class 9 and 10.

CISCE is the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. It is a school education board that allows students to choose two subjects out of the 10 available in group two. This group includes math and science.

The letter suggests that Mumbai schools make sure that students with learning disabilities get subject options.

Forcing such students to continue with subjects that they are not comfortable with adds to their stress levels.
