Simple badges to talk about mental illness on social media
28-year-old Kay Selwyn Layton has started a Facebook page called #EndTheStigma to reduce the shame to talk about mental illness.
The page has specially-made badges which people can use on social media to share their mental or invisible illness.
The idea is to change the attitudes of the society towards mental health.
The campaign has gone viral with nearly 30,000 people liking the Facebook page in less than a week.
Layton’s own experience of struggling with bipolar inspired her to give courage to people living with mental illness.
