Brain injury can lead to Alzheimer's developing early
A new study says that brain injuries or concussions may speed up the spread of Alzheimer's disease.
Brain injury caused by a blow to the head or a violent shaking of the head and body is known as a concussion.
The study looked at 160 American soldiers who had served in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was found that brain injuries, even small ones, caused Alzheimer's disease to start more early.
