App developed in Kerala to track mosquito-transmitted diseases
An Ngo based in Cochin, Kerala has created an application for mobile phones that can collect data and track diseases caused by mosquito like dengue.
The app called 'Mosapp' can tell the users about spread of disease caused by mosquito bites in particular areas. The app was developed with funding received from Department of Science and Technology of the centre government.
The application will help create awareness about mosquito-transmitted diseases. It will also assist the heath workers to identify the various factors that can result in their outbreak.
The development of the app is a part of a bigger project for controlling disease caused by mosquito bites.
