New app helps people with speech disorders
People with speech difficulties have a free app they can look forward to. The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, has developed the app.
Its called Jellow Communicator and has many symbols for communications.
The app can be used by children with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down’s syndrome and brain injury, and adults who have lost their speech to a stroke.
The app has been made with the joint efforts of therapists, graphic designers, software programmers and animators.
