Fabric that helps people with disabilities walk

A body suit designed of a special fibre has the potential to help people with disabilities move their limbs easily.

Researchers in Sweden have created this fabric from cellulose yarn that is coated with a polymer that reacts to electricity. These fibres can be mixed with regular fibres and knitted to create the special fabric that is called textuators.

The cloth made of this fabric can be worn under regular clothing and it helps people with disabilities walk with ease.

Researchers are working on making the fabric even lighter and softer to make it even more comfortable to wear.
