Nestle to focus on healthcare products for elderly
Swiss food company Nestle is planning to market healthcare products especially for the elderly in India.
The products will be healthy and made as per the needs of the elderly. They will be suitable for people with medical conditions like diabetes and post-cancer treatment.
At present 60% of Nestle India’s revenue comes from the younger population that is aged below 40 years and it dominates the baby food market.
The products for the aged will be sold through hospitals, and some as prescription items.
