India to develop its first most powerful supercomputer by June
India plans to present its most powerful supercomputer by June this year.
The supercomputer is being built at a speed faster than the fastest consumer laptops.
It is likely to earn a place among the top 10 fastest supercomputers in the world.
The government has approved Rs 400 crore for the supercomputer project this year.
The supercomputer is not yet named and will help colleges and other research institutes in monsoon forecasting.
For example, it will build a system that will calculate how the actual weather will occur during June, July, August and September.
