Food samples from across the world stored in Norway vault
A special hi-Tech storage centre has been set up in Norway in Europe to preserve the world's food sources.
In case of a major event like climate change, natural disasters or a nuclear war, the Earth’s resources may be destroyed. The vault is being built for an emergency measure like that.
Samples of crops available on our planet are being stored in the vault. The storage unit contains more than nine lakh seed samples of just about every known crop on the Earth.
The project is being funded and managed with the help of Crop Trust charity organization.
