PM Modi congratulates Indian blind cricket team, paralympians

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian blind cricket team for winning the T20 World Cup in his monthly radio programme held recently.

Indian blind cricket team successfully defeated the Pakistani team with a score of 200/1 in 17.4 overs earlier this month.

PM Modi said the blind cricket team has made the country proud by winning world champions for the second time in a row.

He also took time to appreciate the performances of the Indian sportspersons who won medals at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

India won two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze medal in the Paralympics event.
