Chennai school children discuss inclusive education

Vidhya Sagar, a school for children with disabilities partnered with a high school in Chennai to organize a two-day discussion among children on inclusive education.

Inclusive education means students with disabilities learn alongside non-disabled students in general education classrooms.

Interestingly, the event was entirely planned and organized by the children themselves.

The event discussed on the ways non-disabled students want to involve students with disabilities in their classroom.

The event highlighted that students with disabilities do not need any sympathy but simply need to be accepted into the general classrooms to study, learn and play together.
