Disability no barrier for this diamond trader
Kalpesh Chaudhary was just five months old when polio affected his mobility in his legs. He did not let this affect his attitude.
Instead, his disability only made him stronger. Though he could not study after Class 11 due to his family’s financial condition, he has a talent for business and used this to run a successful diamond trading company.
Today the company has an annual turnover of about Rs.10 crores. He took charge of his father’s business, which wasn’t doing well, and transformed it into a successful company.
He manages his business over the phone and has many big jewelry companies as his clients.
He met his wife Deepali through an NGO. She also suffers from polio. The couple has two sons who are currently in school.
