Mumbai to turn blue to mark World Autism Awareness Day

Every year, Ummeed Child Development Center joins the global ‘Light It Up Blue’ movement by US-based organization Autism Speaks to help spread awareness about autism.

One in every 68 children suffers from Autism Spectrum Disorder, a neurological condition that affects speech, behaviour and social skills.

Today on World Autism Awareness Day, over 18,000 buildings from 142 countries will light up in shades of blue to support autism patients of all ages.

People in Mumbai will see the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Royal Opera House, Taj Mahal Hotel and Jaslok Hospital join the movement too.
